San Francisco Pride is a gathering that honors the lgbtq+Q+ community and recognizes their accomplishments. Held in San Francisco, California this event is widely known as one of the Pride celebrations globally drawing in crowds of hundreds of thousands yearly.

The festivities consist of a parade, an engaging festival and various activities held throughout the entire weekend. The highlight is undoubtedly the parade, which traditionally kicks off at the Embarcadero and concludes at Civic Center Plaza. Along its path it passes through San Franciscos Castro District – the hub of the citys lgbtq+Q+ community. The festival itself takes place at Civic Center Plaza. Recent themes have included "Generations of Resistance " "Equality, without Exception " and "The Many Colors of Pride."The group in charge of planning the San Francisco Pride Celebration is focused on teaching people about our history celebrating our traditions and empowering individuals in our community. This event brings together the lgbtq+Q+ community and its allies featuring over 200 parade groups and exhibitors. In addition to that there are performances and venues organized by groups. The festivities begin on a Saturday at Civic Center Plaza in downtown San Francisco happening every June weekend. The Parade itself takes place on Sunday morning starting from Beale Street moving along Market Street and ending at Market and 8th Street, in downtown San Francisco.
